39 // How to Better Facilitate Learning Remotely with Matt Parson
Matt is an educationalist and entrepreneur. He was the COO and Partner of RED Academy, Canada's fastest-growing Design & Technology school, and launched their Toronto campus. Matt has experience in university governance and is passionate about making quality learning accessible to everyone. He now runs a learning tech company called Benji. Benji exists to help trainers keep the magic of their in-person experiences alive as they transition to remote formats. Today we talk about: 👉 Matt’s learning from years of iterating on his learning product concept to provide the needed structure and tools in remote settings for virtual facilitation to succeed. 👉 The barriers that make online group facilitation so painful, and suggested tactics to get around these. 👉 Building upon some discussion topics Dr. Hadnes and I explored last week including the role and relationship of machines and humans in facilitating learning. 👉 Also, how viewing learning as a process rather than an event might get us closer to rapidly reskilling the workforce of the future.
