58 // Designing Experiences Part 1 - Defining 'Experience' with Dr. Bob Rossman & Dr. Mat Duerden

Dr. Bob Rossman is professor and dean emeritus at the College of Applied Science and Technology at Illinois State University. Dr. Mat Duerden is an associate professor in the department of experience design and management at the Marriott School of Business at Brigham Young University.Today’s episode is a first for me in that I’ve got two simultaneous guests AND this is the first part of an extended conversation about experience design that will be picked up in a later episode. The focus of this conversation is all about the first section of the book Designing Experiences, which my guests co-authored. We talk specifically about what an experience is and what that means for designers. Additionally, we get into the three phases of macro and micro experiences and the role of human participation to make real meaning and transformation. Support the show
