Episode 4 - Philosophy of Religion and the Mysteries of the Universe (Featuring Philip Quadrio)

In this podcast, the former professor of Philosophy of Religion at the University of Sydney, Dr Philip Quadrio, demonstrates a deep analysis concerning the origins of religion and the need of humans to find God. He is the author of a book on Hegel and has produced several collections, in particular and with Robert Sinnerbrink, he has edited a special edition of Critical Horizons Journal focusing on Simon Critchley's neo-anarchist politics.  Philosophy of religion explores philosophical arguments and enigmas related to religion and the meaning of God: What is the relationship between philosophy and religion?  What are the relations between faith and righteousness?  What is religion?  How is the genesis (creation) of religions explained?  What does "God" signify?  Although we will focus on philosophical issues, it is necessary to take into account the views of related disciplines, such as Religion (or History of Religions), Theology, Sociology and Psychology of Religion.
