Media Distortion, Censorship, and the Rise of Independent Media with Tony Brasunas

In this episode, I'm joined by Tony Brasunas to discuss censorship, media distortion, why we are all deceived to some degree, and why he is hopeful that the rise of independent media can be the solution.  An independent journalist, Tony Brasunas was censored and sacked by Huffington Post in 2016 for covering the Democratic Primary from the wrong perspective. He's been researching censorship, media distortion, and disinformation in America for five years now, with the distinct hope that the underlying facts about "fake news" in America -- and the disinformation that is peddled every day in our corporate media -- will inspire Americans to exercise and defend our rights to Free Speech and a Free Press. He grew up in an intentional community in West Virginia, spent an adventurous year in China being lied to by their media, and lives now with his wife and son in Sebastopol, California. Join me, Taylor Kulik, an occupational therapist and sleep & well-being specialist, as we examine the mainstream narratives that dominate our culture. It's common to enter parenthood without really stopping to reflect on why we are doing the things we are doing. This is a space where we will challenge societal parenting and childhood norms and discuss biological infant sleep without sleep training. We'll also share real journeys of parents who have gone against the grain by practicing responsive and respectful parenting, and by following their intuition.
