The Blind Men and an Elephant-盲人摸象-Adapted from a Parable in Mandarin Chinese

The parable of the Blind Men and an Elephant originated in the ancient Indian subcontinent. It is a story of a group of blind men who have never come across an elephant before and who learn and conceptualize what the elephant is like by touching it. I adapted it by using a lot of descriptions of appearances. It's a good read for how to describe an animal in details. This can also be used for learning body parts and adjectives to describe appearance in both people and animals.

By Xuemei Li
