有一天，一只乌鸦坐在一棵树上。她的嘴里叼着一块肉。她正准备在树上吃这块肉。一只狐狸看到了乌鸦。狐狸看到乌鸦嘴里叼着一块肉。狐狸非常想要吃这块肉。狐狸想到了一个非常聪明的办法。狐狸希望可以通过这个办法得到乌鸦嘴里叼着的这块肉。“乌鸦，你长得真漂亮呀！你是世界上最漂亮的鸟儿。” 狐狸大声地对乌鸦说。“如果你的声音也和你的长相一样漂亮的话，你就可以成为鸟中之王了。”狐狸接着说。乌鸦一直认为她自己不仅长得特别漂亮，而且唱歌也唱得特别好。于是，乌鸦开始大声地唱起歌来。狐狸感到特别兴奋。乌鸦一张开嘴巴唱歌，乌鸦嘴里叼着的肉就从她的嘴巴里掉出来了。肉一掉下来，狐狸就立刻把肉吃到肚子里去了。乌鸦感到又气愤又难过。狐狸吃完肉以后高高兴兴地回家了。
