Debra Keenahan - (Artist and Mother with Dwarfism) | #75

"Do I regret being me? No Do I wish and want things to be different in society? Yes!" - D.K Dylan Alcott thought growing up in the 90's with disability was tough he can't even IMAGINE what the 60's was like! Debra Keenahan was the only child of her family born with achondroplasia, the most common cause of dwarfism, and in this episode we talk about her decision to become a mother and the challenges the medical community presented on her path to parenthood while giving birth to a daughter with the same diagnosis as her. Plus Angus gets VERY uncomfortable when bringing his own question out of 'The Bowl' at the end of the episode! You’ll laugh. You’ll cry. You’ll learn something. This is a podcast for everyone - disabled or abled, and hopes to break down stigmas, change perceptions, and to challenge what you think it’s like to live with disability.
