Babies and the Microbiome and Lessons from the Pandemic

In this 176th episode of the Live Healthy Be Well podcast, Jeffrey first discusses the unique relationship between the birth of a baby and how the microbiome is a key element in keeping the baby healthy during the birth and nurturing process. Additionally, Jeffrey draws parallels between the recent COVID-19 pandemic and the Avian bird flu in which scientists actually genetically modified the virus to become airborne.  This kind of genetic modification generated an uproar in the scientific community and also raised the awareness of how altering DNA can become deadly. Jeffrey directed and produced a documentary film about a recent genetic experiment gone wrong that could have destroyed all terrestrial life on the planet called, "Don't Let the Gene out of the Bottle"  You can watch that film here.
