It’s the luuuurve show

Hey all you Seventies lovers – it’s almost Valentines Day. So this week Marty and Venetia have selected a sample of songs from the 1970s with the word love in the title. They aren’t all love songs – in fact some are downright anti-love – but they all relate to that intense human emotion in one way or another. Peter Frampton loves your way, Queen are looking for somebody to love, and Chaka Khan just went through a bad break up and wants to tell us all about it, to name just a few of the love experiences we share with you this week. So whether you’re single, loved up or emotionally bruised, this Valentine’s Day we have you covered. Living in the Seventies is brought to you by JOY 94.9, Australia’s only LGBTIQA+ radio station. Find out more at joy.org.au. And visit our Facebook page at facebook.com/LivingInThe70s. Listeners in Australia can stream the original podcast on the JOY website, or from iTunes or any podcast provider who uses the Apple podcast feed. Listeners outside of Australia can find an adapted podcast on Spotify – search for ‘Living in the 70s podcast’.  We would love it if you could rate us and leave a review so that other people can find us.

Om Podcasten

Were you born in the Seventies? Join us for the sounds of the 70s every Saturday morning. Martin and Venetia will take you to the decade of denim flares, burnt orange kitchen benchtops and the birth of disco and glam rock! Each week we'll have a 70's theme that we'll explore, such as songs from disaster movies, movement anthems, one-hit wonders, daggy duets, funky numbers, and disco tracks that steamed up the dance floor in many an LGBTI venue, to name just a few. The 70s produced some amazing music and we're here to make sure that music is shared and never lost. NOTE: Due to music licencing requirements this podcast is unavailable outside of Australia.
