Episode 186 - Once Upon a Time in the Kali Yuga

This episode begins with the ancient ideas of the Kali Yuga, the “dark time” that lasts for a long time. Michael Meade uses the old tale of worldwide decline to consider our collective plight in the midst of the current pandemic along with all the other crises plaguing the world.

The surprise comes when Meade reveals radical ideas from several ancient texts about how to find the spirit of light and vision for life in the midst of the dark times on earth. It turns out that accepting the story trying to unfold from within and waking to the presence of the inner “atman” or genius self are keys to navigating the dark times. But also, getting into the “right trouble” and finding what our souls want to be devoted to are also ways to contribute to help the light to return from the darkest times.
