Episode 21 - A deep dive into Sensory Processing Disorder with devoted mother & author of a new self-help memoir, Rebecca Duvall Scott

Rebecca Duvall Scott is an accomplished writer and the proud recipient of numerous awards throughout her educational career at local, county and state levels. She was awarded the Horrigan's Scholarship at Bellarmine University, where she graduated with a Bachelor's in English. She considered herself a fiction writer, but when her son was diagnosed with sensory processing disorder and she began to blog about her ever-evolving research and his treatment plan, a love for helping others through her non-fiction writing was ignited. Sensational Kids, Sensational Families -- both the book and the way of looking at her life -- took root in her heart and her self-help memoir for special-needs families was born. Rebecca lives with her husband, Eric, and their two children, Annabelle and Jacob, in Louisville, Kentucky.  Connect w/ Rebecca: @ Facebook or LinkedIn, both “Rebecca Duvall Scott.” The amazon link for purchasing Sensational Kids, Sensational Families is: https://www.amazon.com/dp/1948238276/ ***************************************** Please stay connected with Living the Sky Life via these formats: FB: https://www.facebook.com/livingtheskylifeautismjourney IG:  https://www.instagram.com/living_the_skylife_autismtrip Email:  livingtheskylife.autismjourney@gmail.com I'd love to hear what you think!  If you are interested in being a guest on the podcast, please contact me!

Om Podcasten

This podcast comes to you from a very tired and eternally hopefully autism mom of an adult son with profound needs. My intention is to bring together caregivers of special needs children and those who may want to gain a better understanding of our challenges and triumphs. Through the sharing of our stories and experience, I hope to build a larger, more inclusive community of support. Living the Sky Life offers a personal connection from someone who walks daily in caregiver shoes.
