Using the cloud to ask questions of our planet

Since our entry to space the technology we use to understand the planet has changed the questions we ask and the data we have at hand to answer them. Widely available and powerful cloud computing infrastructure has changed the game again – we are able to use thousands of computers at once to get answers that would be incalculably expensive to process by other means. Paul Farrell, Nathan Eaton and Adam Mullett discuss the world or earth observation and cloud computing in this episode of Location Matters.
