E 165. Hunting Dogs with GDIY's Nick Adair
For today's show, we're lucky to have Nick Adair (from the Gun Dog It Yourself podcast) in the house and boy, do we have a good time talkin' dogs. Nick is an absolute dog man and anytime you can trade stories with someone like that, it's just easy, natural and the best time ever. We kick off the show with Nick asking about Bob's southern trip (Nick runs our show better than we run our show) and how he schedules training for the year. Then we dig into Nick's passion for working dogs. Nick spent some time chasing coons behind a dog and we hear about how he got into obsessively learning about, and working alongside, dogs. Then we hop into stories about his three hunting dogs, how he came by each one and how each unique dog is special. It's cool to hear how Nick has special hunts with each dog but if you take a step back and look at why each moment was memorable, it boils down to the same thing: working hard alongside your dog YOU coached is an unreal experience, every time.
