Episode 127: Evan Alexander Moore

New York folk artist Evan Alexander Moore is my guest for Episode 127 of Look At My Records! Evan just released his latest record, The Perennial Millennial, in May. It’s a concept album of protest songs that dissects the millennial experience. We had a rousing conversation about his thoughts on an array of issues affecting our generation, his personal experiences as a millennial, his love of the great Bob Dylan, and his thoughts on the role that musicians play in political discourse.  We played some choice cuts from the “Perennial Millennial,” including “Church Lawns, and “Hey! Mr. Zimmerman,” plus records from Neko, Bob Dylan, Weyes Blood, The Rolling Stones, and The Pretty Things! You can purchase the Perennial Millennial via Bandcamp.  The album is also available on all streaming services, including Spotify.  Follow Evan on Instagram! Om Podcasten

Look At My Records! is a bi-weekly podcast where host Tom Gallo asks bands and artists to curate playlists using records straight from his expansive personal collection. What typically results is an in-depth conversation that unveils influences, past experiences, plenty of nostalgia, and even the occasional mutual fawning. You can also catch the occasional live-in-studio performance and hear specially recorded performances from “The McKenzie Tapes” vault, which contains a plethora of live performances at various NYC venues over the course of the last 40 years.
