Episode 96: Supercel

Episode 96 features an extensive chat with Paul Casanova of Supercel! Though Supercel is his latest project, Paul is a music veteran with a ton of interesting experiences playing in bands in both Boston and New York.  Most notably, he fronted the band Please, who had an uber-catchy track called “Here It Comes Again” featured on the soundtrack for Empire Records.  Tune in to hear us chat about his background in music, including his experiences in both the Boston and New York music scenes. Plus, the origin story and future plans for his great new band, Supercel, who just released their debut self-titled record on Mother West Records. Catch Supercel performing in Bellmore, Long Island this weekend. For more information on this gig, check out the band’s Facebook page. Supercel is also performing at Arlene’s Grocery on October 17th as part of Mondo Fest. You can stream the band’s self-titled debut on Spotify and all other streaming services.

Om Podcasten

Look At My Records! is a bi-weekly podcast where host Tom Gallo asks bands and artists to curate playlists using records straight from his expansive personal collection. What typically results is an in-depth conversation that unveils influences, past experiences, plenty of nostalgia, and even the occasional mutual fawning. You can also catch the occasional live-in-studio performance and hear specially recorded performances from “The McKenzie Tapes” vault, which contains a plethora of live performances at various NYC venues over the course of the last 40 years.
