By the end of June, her boyfriend Joseph Jorgenson had been arrested for the arrest, and her dismembered remains had been found in a storage unit belonging to Jorgenson's roommate. Later, Fanta Xayavong, another woman connected to Jorgenson who had been missing since 2021, was also found dead in a different storage unit.
