MFP 098: Creating Systems with Scott Sidler from The Craftsman Blog

Our interview today is with a full fledged business owner who also happens to be a blogger. Scott Sidler runs Austin HIstorical, where he and his team restore and preserve old buildings. He started out fixing up his old home and fell in love with historic preservation. When he realized there was a gap in the market he started doing work for others and eventually grew a local business out of it. He also started documenting his passion projects and sharing them online on his personal site The Craftsman Blog. Today he walks us through the journey of being a business owner and content creator on the side. Scott Sidler is an absolute beast when it comes to business, not only online but in the real world. With a 19k square foot facility and 24 employees his mainstay Brick and Mortar, Austin Historical is crushing it. The craftsman blog, as his supplemental brand is not something to turn your nose at either. With over 300k monthly page views, this gorgeous website is super impressive and packed with information on restoring historical homes and building.
