Lighting TV & Movies with Ryan Thomas!

Ryan Thomas started his career as a grip and gaffer in San Francisco, but when the non-union reality show he was working on turned union, Ryan was able to join the local 728 and make the move to LA to level up his career. He continues to work as a Gaffer while building his Director of Photography reel. We learn what it's like to be on the crew side of things this week and get a glimpse into unions. We also talk about Los Angeles vs San Francisco and the differences between shooting TV and Feature Films.
