From news desert to election do-over

Today, as part of our Democracy in the Desert series, we head to North Carolina, where a Baptist minister seemed to win a 2018 congressional election by roughly 900 votes. But after a fraud scandal involving absentee ballots came to light, officials ordered a new election. We’ll hear how a lack of local news coverage played out in this story.
