Ep. 8 | Self-Control in Sport

Hi guys, just wanted to start off by saying that this was one of the best podcast episode we've recorded yet, we just had a blast honesty! But today's topic is about self-control which is quite an uncommon topic in sport psychology. We discussed what self control is, the ways in which people can fail at self-control in every day life and in sport. We then go onto talk about a proposed theory which suggests that our self-control abilities can deplete over time. We finish the episode off by discussing some strategies researchers have suggested which could help improve self-control and avoid it from depleting. We hope you enjoy it, see you soon!
