The great school carpet debate

Claim and counter-claim over the Ministry of Education's decision to install synthetic carpet in 600 rural schools. It's awarded the carpet tender for its Improving Classrooms for Small and Remote Schools' programme to a US nylon manufacturer - opting against using New Zealand wool. Simon Barnett & James Daniels were batting the argument back and forth when they got two informed callers with good points to make.
