Both movies are hard to view during a re-watch but Thor is arguably the most important table setter of the stories in Phase 1. Many characters introduced have gone on to hold pivotal roles throughout the greater MCU cannon and Thor is where it all began. The guys discuss the challenges Marvel Studios faced with creating a standalone sequel for the big green guy.
