The Hub Of Hope

Where are all the mental health services app?  The NHS has now included the Hub of Hope app on their  website and has helped more than 26,533 visitors find support in just two months. The Hub of Hope app was established in 2017 by Chasing the Stigma, a national charity set up by Liverpool comedian, Jake Mills, following his own suicide attempt in October 2013. Jake realised when talking through his own personal experience that many people didn’t know where to turn for help with mental health issues, so he and his team created the app, a location-based app which directs people to all the mental health support available within any given area.On today's Mentally Yours Jake chats to Yvette (it's his second time on Mentally Yours) about the app, and how it's developed since he was last on the podcast. Follow Mentally Yours on social media... www.twitter.com/mentallyyrs Join our private Facebook group... www.facebook.com/groups/135088803805742 And check out the Hub of Hope online: https://www.chasingthestigma.co.uk Hosted on Acast.
