Shawn Nelson is the founder and CEO of the Lovesac furniture company, which he started as a side hustle and built into a billion-dollar business. Shawn was born and raised in Salt Lake City and spent two years in Taiwan learning Mandarin before graduating from the University of Utah with a degree in Chinese and Business. In 2003, he was named The Ernst & Young Entrepreneur of the Year, and in 2005, he won a million-dollar investment on the Rebel Billionaire reality TV show. Over the years, Shawn has become increasingly interested in sustainability, and Lovesac is committed to producing furniture that is designed to evolve and built to last. Shawn lives with his wife Tiffany and their four children in Utah, where he enjoys dirt biking, wakeboarding, and coaching his son’s soccer team.
