#1933 Case Study: TOMS Shoes and the One for One model

Today’s guest is Blake Mycoskie, the founder of TOMS shoes. He made the slip on shoes that got everyone’s attention because every time somebody bought a pair, he donated a pair to somebody in need. The company has donated 86 million pairs of shoes over the years. They’ve added other products, also using the one for one model. They helped restore eyesight for 600,000 people. They’ve provided over 600,000 weeks of safe drinking water, and supported safe births for 25,000 mothers. He sold a portion of the company at the time when it was valued at $625 million. I want to find out how he did it.

Blake Mycoskie is the founder of TOMS Shoes, which designs shoes — as well as eyewear, coffee, apparel and handbags.
