The secrets of model scouting with Erin Scimeca, former director of scouting at New York Models & founder of Signed Management
Erin had spent over 23 years working in New York City, scouting for prestigious modeling agencies in the high fashion world. Erin started her career in the modeling world in the mid 90's at Elite Model Management in NYC while John Casablancas was still in charge of the company. Traveling all over the country scouting every inch of the USA - Erin discovered actress Krysten Ritter in a mall in PA. In 2000, Erin decided to make a switch and became the Director of Scouting at New York Model Management where she spent 17 years working until November of 2017 when she left to start Signed Management. Erin has traveled extensively throughout the world scouting and discovering some of the top names in the high fashion world. Because of the travel that she has done, she has had the privilege of visiting some of the best agencies in all of the main high fashion markets.
