Beatitudes: Building Godly Character in Women | Hunger & Thirst for Righteousness w Lorielle Agraso
“The God of the universe tells us to just bring our appetites and He will take care of the rest.” Today we continue in our series, Beatitudes: Building Godly Character in the Woman of God, by welcoming mom of three, Lorielle Agraso. We dive into the fourth beatitude, “Blessed are those who hunger and thirst for righteousness, for they shall be satisfied.” Lorielle reminds us about the fullness of life that comes as we seek God and the things of Him. She helps us step away from the world and into the goodness of God.The Moms in Prayer Podcast is a part of the Christian Parenting Podcast Network. She became a stay-at-home mom after her first of three was born. Her husband Gabe, is often traveling for work, and she found a deeper calling for her home and family as she learned to trust God in much of the solitary time. She was born and raised in Southern California, but recently moved to middle Tennessee, where the family has lived for almost 4 years. This was a big leap of faith, drenched in much prayer, but Lorielle found peace in surrendering what she once controlled, to dive deeper into what God was providing their family. They now live on 16 acres with 3 children (1 girl and 2 boys), 24 chickens, 6 ducks, 5 dogs and 2 kittens with hopes to add additional animals in the years to come. She loves growing her garden, cooking, trying new things and having friends and family over for game nights. Her faith has become her biggest adventure and each season she looks forward to the time spent with God as He plants new seeds and brings her into the next chapters He intends her walk to through.SCRIPTURESBlessed are those who hunger and thirst for righteousness, for they shall be satisfied. Matthew 5:6 ESVBe careful to follow every command I am giving you today, so that you may live and increase and may enter and possess the land the Lord promised on oath to your ancestors. Remember how the Lord your God led you all the way in the wilderness these forty years, to humble and test you in order to know what was in your heart, whether or not you would keep his commands. He humbled you, causing you to hunger and then feeding you with manna, which neither you nor your ancestors had known, to teach you that man does not live on bread alone but on every word that comes from the mouth of the Lord. Deuteronomy 8:1-3 NIVTaste and see that the Lord is good; blessed is the one who takes refuge in him. Psalm 34:8 NIVMeanwhile his disciples urged him, “Rabbi, eat something.” But he said to them, “I have food to eat that you know nothing about.” Then his disciples said to each other, “Could someone have brought him food?” “My food,” said Jesus, “is to do the will of him who sent me and to finish his work. John 4:31-34 NIVO God, you are my God; earnestly I seek you; my soul thirsts for you;my flesh faints for you, as in a dry and weary land where there is no water. My soul will be satisfied as with fat and rich food, and my mouth will praise you with joyful lips, Psalm 63:1 & 5 ESVYou prepare a table before me in the presence of my enemies. Psalm 23:5a NIVFor the kingdom of God is not a matter of eating and drinking but of righteousness and peace and joy in the Holy Spirit. Whoever thus serves Christ is acceptable to God and approved by men. Romans 14:17-18 ESVLINKSMOMS IN PRAYERNew to Moms in Prayer? How to get startedUnshaken Book & Bible StudySupport Our Mission
