S11 Ep4: EILISH MCCOLGAN ON HER RECORD-BREAKING WIN AND FOLLOWING IN HER MOTHER’S FOOTSTEPS

We’re sprinting into a new week as I’m joined by @eilishmccolgan for another #MondayMile episode! 🏃‍♀️   Eilish is a 4x European Championships medallist and 3x Olympian who became the 10,000 metres champion at the 2022 Commonwealth Games, breaking her own’s Mum’s record that she’d held for 31 years 🤯  We chat about that amazing moment, and she tells me how it feels following in her incredible mum’s footsteps 🏃‍♀️   We also look forward to this year’s Olympics, delving into what it takes to qualify and the tough process of her recovering from an injury to get back to peak fitness 💪   Running is a tough sport, physically and mentally, but Eilish is fortunate to have her partner Michael along for the ride wherever she goes. They travel 11 months of the year to train for competitions, and she tells me how incredibly lucky she feels to have that support system with her through those long weeks of training.    With not long now to go until the Games, it’s fantastic to catch up with Eilish and get a real insight into what happens behind the scenes as she gets ready for the #2024Olympics    Listen now on all podcast platforms and watch on YouTube!
