This week on the @Monday_mile_series I’m back on home turf, County Down Northern Ireland with the incredible @rhysmcc1! Fresh back from Paris 2024 where Rhys clinched the gold medal, life has been a rollercoaster for him ever since, from public speaking events to attending multiple awards shows in one evening… he’s a busy man!  We chat about how he’s managed to find balance in this new and slightly crazy lifestyle post-Olympics, but it’s okay because Rhys says he’s got ‘energy for days’ now he isn’t training as hard We also discuss how him and his incredible coach Luke are trying to pave the way for a new standard of gymnastics in the country and the obstacles they faced in trying to achieve that.
