While studying at Stanford, he encountered a problem with registering for classes using thick course catalogs and created CourseRank to easily find classes. His startup was used by over 7,000 Stanford students. During this time, CourseRank underwent an acquisition. Working in a rapidly growing startup, Filip decided to create his own startup, Verkada. Currently, Verkada is valued at $3.5 billion and has evolved into a comprehensive security company.
