It was clear the woman had been murdered, but investigators were unable to determine who she was. Despite exhaustive efforts, the identity of the Huntington Beach Jane Doe would remain a mystery for over 50 years. Meanwhile in Maine, the family of Anita Piteau was still searching for her… and it wouldn’t be until 2020 that they would finally know what happened. But questions still linger: who was her killer, Johnny Chrisco, and why was Anita in his car?
