Still Unsolved: Donna Anthony Fisher

1986 - Cranston, Rhode Island. December 5th, 1986 was a normal day for 18-year-old Bobby Fisher. It wasn’t until his neighbor pulled up at his work with an alarming message that his world was turned upside down: there was something wrong with his mother, Donna. Donna Anthony Fisher had been found unconscious from what appeared to be a medical event in her bedroom in Cranston, Rhode Island. A few days later on her 39th birthday, Donna passed away. But things took a turn when an autopsy revealed that Donna’s cause of death wasn’t an aneurysm like everyone thought, it was strangulation. Donna had been murdered. No charges has ever been made in Donna’s case, but that doesn’t mean it’s collecting dust. In fact, it’s quite the opposite. Hear Donna’s story told through her son, Bobby, and walk through the case from the eyes of an investigator with the current detective, Robert Santagata. If there’s one thing they both want, it’s for this case to be solved.  If you have any information about the murder of Donna Fisher, please contact the Cranson RI Police Dept at (401) 942-2211.
