Ep. 9 Elisa Goodkind, Self-Acceptance Revolutionist

My guest today, Elisa Goodkind is the mother of the mother-daughter duo team, StyleLikeU & The What's Underneath Project. StyleLikeU is "a platform for radically honest docu-style videos that give voice to role models who stand proudly outside of norms and are comfortable in their skin." Elisa is a child of the Woodstock Era, moving through her youth during one of the most pivotal cultural revolutions in our modern history. She is a product of unity and the desire to transcend; race, gender, sexuality and class - this philosophy is very much at the core of StyleLikeU. Having started as a stylist in the fashion industry during the 80's and early 90's Elisa felt the loss of what fashion used to be - political and controversial statements within self expression and art. In this Part I of this episode we talk about and go through the journey from her youth to the birth of StyleLikeU - It is an incredible and candid interview!
