Music On Your Own Terms 056 "Hillarie Jason - Death Through A Lens"

Music On Your Own Terms 056 - Hillarie Jason - Death Through A Lens In this episode I have the pleasure of talking to Massachusetts based photographer Hillarie Jason. As you'll hear in the interview, I discovered her work after googling a show I had attended in Boston to find photos of the performance. Hillarie takes us on a journey from falling in love with photography in school, working in retail, to becoming a professional freelance photographer, traveling the country shooting large festivals and being featured in major publications, all as a result of a couple of flip-phone images being featured in an exhibit! We learn about what it's like to shoot a multi-day/multi-stage festival, some behind the scenes stories of difficult bands, and some great advice for those considering a life in freelance work. Join me as we discover what really drives a true artist to create.
