In Helmand Province, Afghanistan, police have taken a significant step towards regional autonomy by unveiling a police training facility. The Lashkar Gah Training Centre (LTC), opened by the British in 2009, will now see Afghan police trainers teach a variety of courses as they look to take on one of the biggest challenges in Afghanistan – policing Helmand.
