Two successful businesses in Herat, Afghanistan: the Steel Melt factory and the Pamir Motorcycle Company. Herat city is the business hub of Afghanistan with its well-established links to Iran, Turkmenistan and through them to the rest of the world. Herat's economic success as well as improvements in security is good, but recently a businessman was kidnapped and subsequently killed. Produced by Ruth Owen.
