US President Donald Trump's tariffs on dozens of countries take effect from today, including massive 104 percent duties on Chinese goods. In response, the EU plans to charge import duties of up to 25 per cent on a number of products sold from the US. We discuss this further with John Fitzgerald Adjunct Professor in Economics at Trinity College Dublin.
