Ex-Nike exec turned digital fashion founder Leanne Elliott Young
Leanne Elliott Young knows how to capture the zeitgeist, whether at Nike in their highly secretive Rm72 team and collaborating with Virgil Abloh, or now at the helm of the Institute of Digital Fashion (IoDF), as a cofounding team of self-professed “architects of a new digital culture”. Leanne talks through her career, having been approached to join Nike not long after graduating, and spent nearly a decade there before rejecting fashion norms and throwing herself into digital fashion and pioneering bleeding edge tech instead - helping IoDF achieve world firsts such as the first ever NFT worn at the British Fashion Awards. Leanne also shares her vision for the future, where technology seamlessly integrates into our lives, and our consumption habits shift towards reselling rather than producing everything new.
