Kevin Betts, Director at Run Things. Kev lost his dad to suicide in 2003 after years of battling depression, and sadly it wasn’t a shock. This changed Kevin and the course of his life.Kevin took up running as a way to cope, changing both his mental and physical health. He went from never running, to running 52 marathons in a year. We talk about how exercise can help those suffering with mental health. Preventing suicide is about educating people from a young age that there are not only other options, but other opportunities… Things can and do get better. Not being here anymore stops you from ever seeing that future.Run Things focuses on the relationship between mental and physical health to positively impact people’s lives.
