State Sanctioned Terrorism w/ Carl Cavalier and D’juan Owens

In this episode, we are in conversation with the truth-teller and "whistleblower", Carl Cavalier, a Black police officer who is currently facing backlash from Lousiana State Police for holding them accountable and exposing their pattern of anti-black violence. Cavalier was raised on the West Bank of New Orleans & grew up in a low-income neighborhood. As his first publication, Cavalier uses his new book (link for purchase below) “NWB” to offer insights from both sides of the criminal justice system – a unique perspective that is a trailblazer for this type of narrative. Cavalier is a strong advocate for justice and equality, and this book aims to start the difficult conversations. It compels one to act from an informed perspective, a point of knowledge and truth.Link to Carl Caviler's bookListeners can support our work & the production of this podcast by signing up through Patreon.ORVenmo: @nowhitesaviorsPayPalConnect with us on Instagram, Twitter, and Facebook. You can also find us on our personal IG accounts:Alaso Olivia Patience - @olivia.risesKelsey Nielsen - @unpopularvoteLubega Wendy - @lubegawendyRwothomio Gabriel - @the.nilotic.1 Support the show (https://www.patreon.com/user?u=13938785)Support the show
