On a frigid February night in 1986, Swedish Prime Minister Olof Palme was fatally shot on a Stockholm street after a cinema visit with his wife. This ignited Sweden's largest and most convoluted murder investigation, marked by early blunders and an array of suspects that fueled widespread speculation. Over the years, the case has seen numerous twists, including accusations against Christer Pettersson and later, Stig Engström, known as the Skandia Man.
