This discovery revealed that Britta Nielsen, a long-time trusted worker, had been stealing money meant for Denmark's neediest people. For over twenty years, Britta had been tweaking account numbers to funnel almost €15 million into her own pockets, supporting a lifestyle way out of her usual reach.
