Episode 81 - MacGruber

Welcome back to Not A Bomb podcast! On this week’s episode, Troy and Brad finish the year with a review of 2010’s comedy/action/parody film - MacGruber. Born out of an SNL skit, MacGruber was a critical and financial bomb but has garnered a cult following since its release over ten years ago. The character was even given a second chance this year with a branch new television series. Grab your dental floss, tennis ball, thimble, and stalk of celery for this unpredictable discussion. Troy and Brad debate which actor is best at dropping “F” bombs, the subtle art of deadpan comedy, the protected “art” of parody, and whether they should go back and watch the 80’s action classic Extreme Measures. The guys also give listeners a little preview of what’s coming in 2022! MacGruber is directed by Jorma Taccone and stars Will Forte, Kristen Wiig, Ryan Phillippe, Val Kilmer, Maya Rudolph, and Powers Boothe.
