Yes, we spanked our kids.In this episode, we tell you guys how we handled ages 1-5 discipline. We had three kids in four years and literally would not have kept our sanity without strict guidelines for discipline.We lived by timeouts, spankings, and good behavior reinforcement as a way to curb our little ones' innate need to challenge EVERYTHING WE EVER SAID OR DID OMG WHY ARE TODDLERS SO HARD.Regardless of your disciplining tactics, the two most important parts of effectively disciplining your kids are 1. getting on the same page and 2. CONSISTENCY. You may disagree with spanking all together, but this isn't a PRO spanking episode. We're not trying to push a "spank your kids" agenda. We simply want to share how we were able to successfully navigate through those very challenging early years while keeping peace in our house and ultimately in our marriage.Support the Show.
