Co-edited by the journal's editor-in-chief Jennifer Acker and prominent Jordanian writer Hisham Bustani, the issue was the result of four years of collaboration that began in Abu Dhabi. Today, award-winning Egyptian writer Youssef Rakha, who contributed an introduction to the volume, joins the issue’s editors to discuss the 25 stories representing 15 countries across the Middle East, as well as the topics of translation from Arabic to English and international artistic collaboration.
