CBS Radio Mystery Theater - The Triple Crown
Paddy Devlin, who has somehow acquired a very fast colt he calls Malachi, meets a small, young farmhand, Stevie Oakes, who, Paddy believes, can be trained to ride Malachi to the Triple Crown. Stevie's stepfather, Morton, agrees to allow the penniless Paddy to live in his barn with Malachi and teach Stevie how to ride after the boy has finished his chores. But when boy and horse are ready to race, Morton serves Paddy with legal papers stating that he now owns Malachi as payment for all the board and feed he has provided.
