In this episode, Nourah is speaking with Fayrouz Sharqawi in Jerusalem on the negative impacts of NGOs on Palestinian liberation efforts and the gentrification of East Jerusalem by Western/international aid workers. Fayrouz is a co-founder and organizer with Grassroots Al-Quds, a crowd-source funded Palestinian organization in Jerusalem. Their organization is working to create a sustainable model for Palestinian organizations to fund their efforts without being tied to the constraints set by traditional Western aid.
