John Bevere Explains the Difference Between Being Scared of the Lord and Fearing the Lord

Ken Harrison is joined by internationally known evangelist and best-selling author John Bevere on the latest episode of “On the Edge with Ken Harrison.” Together they discuss an experience that forever influenced John’s walk with Christ, the difference between being scared of the Lord and fearing the Lord, and God’s call for us to return to his heart. The difference between being scared of the Lord and fearing the Lord: “A person who is scared of God has something to hide, but a person who fears God has nothing to hide. Fearing the Lord is not equal to being scared of God. We can't have intimacy with God if we’re scared of him, but rather the person who fears God is terrified of being away from him. We fear God when we embrace his heart and venerate him above everything and everyone else. What is important to him becomes important to me and what is not important to him is not important to me.”
