A movement not a moment: a closer look at some anti-racism resources, uncomfortable conversations & the problem with the fashion industry...

This week we have an open and honest chat about the past few weeks, what it truly means to be anti-racist, and how we plan to learn and unlearn going forward. We discuss some of the valuable resources we have been consuming since our last episode, and unpick the urgent changes that need to be made within the fashion industry. We also discuss the importance of recognising that real social change has to stem from sustainable energy in order for us to progress long term. This is a 'movement not a moment'. Black lives always matter and we must be prepared to commit to the lifelong work ahead...

Om Podcasten

Welcome to 'On The Outskirts' - a podcast co hosted by Manchester bloggers Alice Catherine and Sophia Rosemary! We wanted to sit down and record our regular chats inspired by living and working on The Outskirts of the London blogging bubble. We don’t think we’re the only ones who can sometimes struggle with feeling 'out of the loop' and with that in mind, we really wanted to create a space where we can have an inclusive, honest, and open chat about a variety of subjects. This is a podcast where everyone can feel involved, so make yourself a cup of tea and pull up a seat... Hosted on Acast. See acast.com/privacy for more information.
