Amber Hughes
Thanks for joining me for another great episode of One For The Road. This week I am joined by Amber Hughes. After Amber’s sister Hannah passed away at the age of 38 in 2017 after battling addiction and experiencing homelessness. Amber set up ‘Amber Lights in Oxford’ to support Homeless Oxfordshire (a charity who supported Hannah) and raise awareness of homelessness and the impact of addiction. The project dedicated to Hannah’s memory, incorporates products (including Hann Bags, Skyline/Pawsome Clothing) with all profits donated to Homeless Oxfordshire. Over £2000 has since been raised, with Amber Lights in Oxford also being featured within the Oxfordshire community on local radio and magazines to encourage open and honest conversations surrounding homelessness and addiction. Amber has also just been awarded the British Empire Medal. If you want to connect with me via Instagram, you can find me on the instahandle @Soberdave https://www.instagram.com/soberdave/ or via my website https://davidwilsoncoaching.com/Provided below are links for services offering additional help and advice for Amberhttps://homelessoxfordshire.uk/https://amberlightsinoxford.wordpress.com/https://www.instagram.com/amberlightsinoxford/https://amberlightsinoxford.wordpress.com/blog/www.drinkaware.co.uk/advice/alcohol-support-serviceshttps://nacoa.org.uk/Show producer- Daniella Attanasio-MartinezInstagram - @TheDaniellaMartinezhttps://www.instagram.com/thedaniellamartinez/www.instagram.com/grownuphustle/ Learn more about your ad choices.
